Miss Lehigh Area 2009

Hello and Welcome!

     Hello, America, Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Area!

Welcome to my official blog, where I will be keeping track of all of my Miss Lehigh Area adventures in 2009. I am very excited and honored to be representing the Lehigh Area at the upcoming Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant held in Pittsburgh this upcoming June!

     As of now, I am handling all of the "behind-the-scenes" details and getting ready for the state competition, but I am most excited to begin serving the Lehigh area in any way possible- community service, appearance events, anything and everything!

     Throughout the year, I will be promoting my platform: "Work Hard, Play Hard: Arts Education in Public School Systems". I will be visiting schools throughout the Lehigh area, teaching basic dance, music and art classes. I also plan on visiting the children's ward of many hospitals throughout my reign, hosting sing-a-longs, drawing classes and "make-your-own-orchestra" days. I am very excited to be working with such special students! I also want to make sure the elderly of our community feel they are loved, cared for and appreciated through visits to multiple nursing homes, specifically focusing on those patients diagnosed with dimentia and Alzheimer's disease.
